Qualification in Details:
Application are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the post of “Assistant Professor of Psychiatry” on contract basis under the DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance entitled ” Clinical Research Centre for Neuromodulation in Psychiatry” under Dr. Venkatasubramanian, Professor of Psychiatry & Principal Investigator.
1. Name of the Post : Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.
2. No. of Post : 01.
3. Educational Qualification : M.D in Psychiatry/ M.D Psychological Medicine/ DNB Psychiatry or e uivalent ualification from a recognized Universi ty/ Institution.
4. Experience : 03 years teaching and /or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree as above.
5. Desirable Qualifications :
a). Experience in non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques in psychiatric disorders*
b). Clinical Research experience in the application of NIBS intreatment-resistant patients and special populations*
c). Clinical and Research Experience in managing treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders*
d). Research experience in neuroimaging in psychiatry*
e). Research experience in electrophysiology techniques like electroencephalography in psychiatry*
f). Research experience in conducting randomized control trials inpsychiatric neuromodulation*
g). Research experience in genotyping studies in psychiatry*
h). At least 2 years of experience in supervising and manpower training in clinical research studies in psychiatry.
i). Experience in working at different psychiatric institutes, preferably in both Mental health institutes and General hospital psychiatrysettings**
j). Experience in “big-data” management and analysis**
k). Experience in mentoring psychiatry trainees**
The candidate should provide a point-wise response in a tabular format to all the above-listed desirable qualifications (i.e. Nos 1 to I l) indicating Yes (OR) No. A “Yes” response should be supported with details as below : Desirable qualifications indicated with ( * ) should be supported by at least one peer-reviewed publication Desirable qualifications indicated with (**) should be supported by at least one letter of recommendation confirming the details of the experience.
6. Work Location : NIMHANS, Bengaluru with intermittent travel to the collaborating institutes.
7. Pay Matrix : Rs.1,01,500/- to Rs.1,67,400/-.Initial Pay in the Pay Matrix : Rs.1,01,500 (Plus NPA).
8. Duration of the post : 5 years Initial appointment will be made for a period of one year, which will be extendable every 12 months for five years or till the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate.
